HK Trip 2015 (Day 6)

July 30th, 2015

Finally! My last post of HK Trip 2015 T_T Took almost a year to finish it ><
After this post, I'm going to write about my trip to Korea. Don't know when I will finish it, but hopefully soon!

My last day in HK started with having breakfast in hotel, then we walked to Via Tokyo in Causeway Bay to have ice cream. The place was small and at the time it was quite packed, fortunately when we arrived there was a group of people who were leaving, so we got a table.

Matcha Cone (HKD30) - Original Cone (HKD28)
Both ice creams were melting quite fast. Wanted to try the royal milk tea flavour, but they said it wasn't available. T___T

After ice cream, it's time for some dumplings! Really want to try the XLB at Din Tai Fung, so even though we were still full, we headed to the nearest Din Tai Fung branch which is on Yee Woo Street. The place were hugeee and packed. Not long after we were seated, we were given a menu book and a paper to write our order and since we can't read chinese characters, we just match the number in the menu and the number in the paper to write our order.

Spicy Vegetable and Pork Wonton (HKD52/6pcs)

Ordered their spicy wonton, the skin was thin, the filling and the spicy sauce were also good. But I like the XLB more.

Steamed Pork Dumplings (HKD58/6pcs)

Also ordered their Steamed Pork Dumplings. Besides pork they also have crab roe&pork, pork&black truffle, angled loofah&shrimp, and chicken dumplings. As expected, the dumplings were goood, the broth were not too thick so it won't make you sick after eating a few.

Tea is HKD 9 per person.

Then we went back to hotel, on the way there we stopped by a supermarket near our hotel to buy some snacks to bring home. The snack we bought by chance was sooo good -> Munchies (Cheese Fix), it is a mixed snack in one bag (doritos, cheetos, pretzels, sun chips). Super recommended!
